i put these speakers in a 92 chevy s-10 extended cab. they are powered by a cheep Dual stereo from walmart. i have 4 x 10 in the rear (same type) and surprisingly they sound pretty good. i would recommend this product for anyone looking for a cheep but decent sounding speaker.

The speakers are average at best their output will peak before you are done turning your radio up. I don't really know that adding an amp would improve the quality of sound. The price is the only reason I purchased the speakers. I also purchased the Boss 6 x 9 5 way and have the same felling about them.

Still looking for a better yet affordable ways than the Boss brand.
